Listen in on WNCW and come hang with us at Mo Daddies that evening. Dec-6-2011 - The ToneBlazers are coming off a great night at the Grey Eagle in Asheville. Excellent sound, crowd, grub and vibe....what more do you want.
Nov-10-2011
- The ToneBlazers just returned from a great roadtrip to Riverhawk
Festival in Florida and Chomp and Stomp Festival in Atlanta.
Made some new friends and caught up with old friends.
Sampled Elizabeth's most excellent chili and
gator-on-a-stick. Want to thank Mitch and family at
Riverhawk for their hospitality and a great fest. Hope
to come back again! Want to thank Tdog and our record
label meister, Steve Metcalf, for the Chomp and Stomp
gig...major throwdown! I hear we have been asked to

The ToneBlazer's 2011 has been busy. The ToneBlazers performed at Merlefest, Riverhawk Music Festival, Songs of the Mountain (PBS series), King Pup Syndicated Radio, Red White and Bluegrass Festival, Albino Skunk Festival, Plum Hollow Festival, Chomp & Stomp Festival in Atlanta and recently won the Charlotte Music Awards in Americana/Bluegrass category. Their debut album, Red Clay Roots, was released in 2011 on Little King Records. The album features all original material from North Carolina songwriters, in which six of the eleven tracks come from the hands of the ToneBlazers. We want to give a special thanks to our record label owner, Steve Metcalf, for his support and encouragement. The ToneBlazer's repertoire includes bluegrass, western swing, country, folk, rock, blues, and their own unique originals. They are multi-instrumentalist and share the vocals. Individually throughout their careers, they have shared the stage or studio with Doc Watson, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, George Shuffler, Marty Raybon, Alison Kraus, Mark O’Connor, Doug Jernigan, Wayne Henderson, Roy Huskey Jr., Charlie Waller, Jack Lawrence and Tony Rice, to name a few. ToneBlazers are based in the rolling foothills of the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains.
Band Review: Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Toneblazers concert at The White Horse in Black Mountain last night. Loved the diversity of the setlist and the relaxed stage presence...and of course the masterful pickin' and singin'. Especially like Reuben and Copperhead Road, that kicked things up to a "whole nother level". Looking forward to hearing y'all again soon.
